What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors consistently praise Cameron Park Zoo for its well-designed, shaded habitats and manageable size, making it a comfortable and enjoyable experience for families. While some find gift shop prices high, the reasonable admission and availability of water stations are appreciated. The zoo offers a good variety of animals and engaging exhibits, making it a worthwhile visit.
"Visited this zoo on a spontaneous Friday afternoon trip from Austin and it was very quiet (only saw a few other visitors) which made for a more enjoyable experience! Arrived at 3:30 and the park closes at 5 but still had enough time to see everything! Although some exhibits are under construction like the gibbon lake right when you walk in. Clean, walkable, lots of shade and places to sit, if neeeded. It’s a well-designed zoo with a wide arrange of animals. I especially liked the indoor exhibit with all the snakes, as well as the giraffes and penguins."

"The zoo was well designed and had a lot of nice enclosures with a wide variety of animals. The staff were friendly for the most part though the gift shop employees didn’t seem too thrilled to be there. It’s not a huge zoo but it maximizes its space with good quality."

"Omg Cameron Park Zoo was amazing my kids had so much fun. The admission price is reasonable. Check out the Monday discounts. The only thing I didn’t like was the gift shop prices ( very high) it’s 3.00 dollars for a bottle of water that don’t stay cold but the good thing is the park has water stations all throughout the park . Next time I will bring two frozen bottles of water and just add water from the water stations to my water bottles as the ice melts. They even have animals motor rides that you can use to take you around the park. We will be going back 😊😁😁😁also there is a lot of shade spots to cool down from the hot summer heat."
