The park is such a great picnic spot with open green spaces and shaded areas to relax. There’s even a large swimming pool inside the park, which makes it extra family-friendly and fun during the warmer months.
What really stood out to me was the lake view. The water is peaceful and surrounded by lots of birds—swans, seagulls, and beautiful white geese wandering around the shore. It gave the whole place a very calming and refreshing vibe.
Another highlight is that the park has BBQ areas, so you can enjoy a cookout with friends or family while soaking in the natural surroundings. It feels like the perfect mix of nature, relaxation, and outdoor fun.
If you’re looking for a day trip getaway with nature, water views, and picnic vibes, Rockland Lake State Park is definitely worth visiting. I’d love to go back again!"

"Took the extended family for the first time and we had a great day!
Lake is GORGEOUS but be prepared for bird poop EVERYWHERE.
Bathrooms were decent but could use a little updating.Park was well staffed and stayed on top of litter and garbage. They have a number of picnic tables and wire a few grills too.
Or highlights were the walking trails and the pool 🥰 The kids loved the water slides and I loved the number of lifeguards and staff visible. We'll be back!"

"Had a great time at Rockland Pool — it wasn’t crowded, which made it super relaxing. Someone did throw up while we were there, but the staff responded immediately. They cleared everyone out and cleaned the area fast and thoroughly. Really impressed with how seriously they took safety and cleanliness. Will definitely come back!"
