What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors consistently praise St. Vincent Ferrer Catholic Church for its breathtaking beauty, both inside and out, and its welcoming community. While the architectural splendor and spiritual atmosphere are major draws, some guests have noted specific aspects like limited adoration chapel hours and sermon length as areas for potential improvement.
"Awesome church, genuinely beautiful inside and out. Only issue is, well.. The Eucharist is only available in the adoration chapel from certain times. Thursday and Friday from 3-5pm. If the Eucharist isn’t there 24/7, how is in an adoration chapel when it’s not present? What am i adoring if he’s not there? Why is the time with him only for short windows?
My home church has an adoration chapel with the Eucharist present at all times, and it’s beautiful.
No one should be turned away from or limited to from the Presence of Christ in my opinion.
The Father uses his phone during the readings before the gospel, by the way. Right up there in front of everyone too. Take that as you will. I personally never seen it at a Catholic church before."

"The church is beautiful. We were out of towners attending mass. The elderly priest (thin, Filipino) gave a long winded "lecture," not a homily that lasted for 35-40 minutes. He kept repeating himself as though we were unfamiliar with church dogma and doctrine, talking to us as though we were children -- elementary level students. He needs to step up, upgrade and enrich his homily texts (get a book about how to deliver effective adult- level homilies) to make the gospel relevant to adults and their lives, instead of teaching us (basically extending and stretching the gospel) what most adult laity already knew. I looked around the church and saw that the parishioners were mostly Filipino - a highly intelligent group of people who deserve better, relevant homilies than a time consuming Sunday school lecture."

"Fr Enrique, pastor, says a meaningful and reverend Mass/service. He speaks to the congregation as if he were speaking one to one. His sermon seems to reach his congregation. The other priest are most Reverend in saying the Mass as well."
