"This review is for stargazing at Cap Rock at night. Really like this location with less crowded than the ever-so-noisy and Hidden Valley stargazing site.
Cap Rock forms a great anchor for some of my Milky Way photos (when it's still slow rising near the horizon). It may be a bit too bright for some as you can see some light pollution from the direction of Palm Spring..."

"Joshua tree National Park: a must see if you are nearby. We did the auto trail with audio. Absolutely brilliant"

"Cap Rock at Joshua Tree is very good sight. The top boulder looks like a hat so it's named cap Rock. Nice rock formation with clearly marked trails around it. Short distance, and pretty flat. You can also climb some of the boulders. There were benches to sit and enjoy the view along the trail. Also some ground posted signs to tell about the plant life in the area. They also had a park information board here with whole park map and lots of other useful information."
