Timing is Everything for Pinot Noir

The Willamette Valley is renowned for its Pinot Noir. While wineries are open year-round, visiting during harvest season (late September to October) offers a vibrant atmosphere, but expect crowds. For a more relaxed experience, consider the shoulder seasons of spring or fall.

Bookings & Beyond

Many popular wineries, especially those offering tours or private tastings, require advance reservations. Don't assume you can just walk in, especially on weekends. Consider booking tasting experiences and tours ahead of time to secure your spot and avoid disappointment.

Reviews Summary

Visitors consistently praise the Willamette Valley for its stunning vineyard views, exceptional Pinot Noir, and the warm hospitality of winery staff. Many highlight the knowledgeable and personable tour guides who enhance the tasting experience. While the wine and scenery are major draws, some visitors note that tasting fees can add up, and advance reservations are crucial, especially during peak seasons.

"Did a private tour and tasting with Josh Gil. He was AMAZING!! He was sooooo knowledgeable, personable, kind, and patient. He showed us all working parts of the winery and it was during harvest season. The story of how the winery came to be with Mr. Burneau and his dad being trailblazers for not only winery owners but for entrepreneurs and small business owners in Oregon was simply amazing! The hustle that Mr. Burneau showed was amazing. Going door to door and finding his own investors was so inspiring. Josh was so knowledgeable about all of this. This was such a treat to get to know and learn about from Josh. Go and take the tour from Josh and then book a table at the dining area after. Oh, and join the wine club and take home some bottles too 😁😁"

"Great location with beautiful views. Baby friendly. Great food pairing options and wine options. The gift shop is great, there are so many thing yo get from chocolate to wine candles to apparel to wine drinking essentials. The inside of the main building is pretty, there is a piano for music, bar fire pit, and plenty of seating up/downstairs. The patio is really nice with umbrellas at each table and pretty landscaping, lots of greenery and flowers. It was very peaceful and enjoyable. Recommend coming here, I usually go to the tasting rooms in Vancouver and Clackamas. Super glad I made the drive. Next stop Domaine Willamette!"

"This place is amazing with gorgeous views. We had the best tour guide, Quinn, who made the experience even better by taking us down into the grapes and personalizing our tour to our family’s needs (taste preferences and gluten free needs). Thank you!"
