Reviews Summary

Visitors consistently praise Tumwater Falls Park for its stunning natural beauty, especially the cascading waterfalls and the captivating salmon run during the fall. The park's accessibility, free admission, and family-friendly amenities like playgrounds and picnic areas are frequently highlighted as major positives. While some mention the historical context of the old brewery, the primary draw remains the serene riverside environment and the impressive wildlife spectacle.

"It's a beautiful park on a waterway that is also a salmon run. There are many salmon letters there that are still working. There are plenty of nice pathways with plenty of good overlooks to look at the water and the salmon which are making their way upstream. It's a nice place to go. Very peaceful. There's a picnic table area and there seems to be a good amount of parking."

"A beautiful park with a nice river trail. The Salmon were running this time of year and it was really cool to see them all. Lots of history here in this gorge. There are a lot of plaques talking about the history of the different businesses and changes that have been here along the Deschutes river."

Jeremy

"This is a really cool family and kid friendly place. There are easy walking trails on both sides of the river with excellent views of the salmon swimming upstream from several pedestrian bridges. I believe back in the 50's is when they constructed fish ladders so the salmon could navigate upstream. There's also several eye level aquarium views of the migrating fish, grates on the sidewalk to see them, picnic tables, gift shop, restrooms, and a park ranger station. Plenty of free parking too."
