Our guide — whose name I don’t remember at this time, I’m so sorry — was very informative and receptive to our questions. The artifacts and house were fascinating. Apparently over 95% of the property is original, and refurbishments are only done when absolutely necessary. Walking through the rooms, I was transported back in time.
And I can’t reiterate how excellent our guide was. I could tell that he was a real fan of history and was all too eager to share. Honestly, the tour wouldn’t have been the same without him. I hope to return one day to see what other artifacts are put on display in the future!
