What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors consistently praise the Tall Ship Manitou for its engaging crew, unique historical experience, and beautiful bay sails. Many highlight the opportunity to actively participate in sailing and enjoy onboard treats like ice cream and local beverages. While most reviews are overwhelmingly positive, a few mention minor issues like the need for better audio for guest speakers.
"Despite an unexpected downpour, our group had a great time during the brunch cruise! It was interesting to watch the captain try to analyze where the storm was heading and try to steer us out of it, but in the end, it was just to big to avoid. Just as brunch was being served, so were ponchos! It was a fun and unique experience and didn’t affect our enjoyment of the sail one bit. Thanks to the wonderful crew who still showed such exceptional hospitality even during the storm. You’re sure to have a great time sailing with them, no matter the weather!"

"So much fun! Captain Sara, Jenn, Maverick, and the rest of the crew took such great care of us. We enjoyed a beautiful day on the bay, accompanied by some history of the old schooner ships and a little bit of history about Northwestern Michigan. Just a delightful day; highly recommend."
Craig Williams
"We booked this event to experience a gorgeous sail on the bay and to hear the guest speaker. The weather was cold and cloudy, yet the view was still beautiful! The captain and crew were incredible. They were humorous and made us feel welcomed and safe.
My only reason for not giving 5 stars is because it would have been helpful if the guest speaker used a microphone and speaker. When we sat near her, we greatly enjoyed her presentation. I am afraid many did not hear her, which is unfortunate.
Great reservation and check in process. Very friendly staff.
The local wine and beverages on board were delightful.
We will book again soon!"
