What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Slabtown Burgers is a beloved local spot praised for its delicious, perfectly cooked burgers and friendly, efficient service. Reviewers appreciate the charming, hometown atmosphere and the dog-friendly patio. While some minor issues like fries being cold or malts being thin are noted, the overall consensus is overwhelmingly positive, with many eager to return and try more of the menu.
"I have been driving past this place for a few years and today decided to stop in. Its cute. The staff is very efficient, I like how the menu is outside so you can decide what you want before you get to the counter. To be fair we were here on a Saturday afternoon during the end of summer vacation so it was a bit crowded and noisy. I love the outside seating, it's very hometown feeling. They do allow dogs there which I love but not everyone does.
I ordered a BBQ burger and it was delicious, cooked to perfection. My husband had a strawberry malt which was tasty but a bit thin. We ordered the regular fries and they had the promise of being very good but sadky were a bit cold, soggy and limp. They needed salt but there was none to be found. I'll air fry them later.
Will I go back? ABSOLUTELY there are so many other things on the menu I want to try!"

"Slabtown Burgers, located at 826 W Front St, Traverse City, is in an old home built in the 1800s. You order from the counter, and the server writes down your order on a paper lunch bag. Then, find a seat inside or outside, and your food is delivered in the same paper lunch bag. The restaurant has a hipster, upbeat vibe with an array of maps and pictures from the 1800s. The service was fast and friendly, and our food came quickly. The burgers, fries, onion rings, and shakes received high praise from the table. Highly recommend Slabtown Burgers and look forward to our next visit."

"Getting a great burger should be easy and it is at Slabtown. Just delicious, indulgent little circles of heaven served up quickly. We didn't get the pretzel bun option but wish we had. Maybe next time. If it's nice out, there's some outdoor seating to enjoy. Jacksen was our cashier and he was a delight."
