The hike is a moderate out-n-back that covers 14.5 miles with 2.7k elevation gain. Reviews Summary

Visitors rave about Todd Lake's stunning natural beauty, particularly the breathtaking views of Broken Top mountain and the serene lake reflections. The easy loop trail is a major plus for accessibility, and summer wildflowers add to its charm. However, be prepared for a rough access road and significant mosquito presence during warmer months.

"A great getaway just outside Bend. The lake has great views of the surrounding mountain tops. The trail that circles the lake is easy to navigate and offers views all over the lake. Make sure to bring your mosquito spray as there are quite a few in the summer months. Parking can be challenging during the busy season, and the road in and out is pretty rough with all the potholes. Worth every bump to see this beautiful location."

Gary Piazza

"Beautiful lake and wildflowers! And great views of the local mountains. The trail around the lake is a couple of miles long. It's mostly dirt with some areas of boardwalks over swampy land. We visited in July. Highly recommend! Also, keep in mind that the elevation makes this area cooler than you might expect in the summer. Check the local temperature before heading over."

Cecilia Jorgeson

"This is a great place for a hike. I’ve been there in the past. My last visit wasn’t quite so pleasant because of the extensive amount of snow on the ground in mid June. I’ll plan to come back toward August."
