Any experience with Blue River in Oklahoma
Here working out of town for a while. Are there any wildlife management areas / public lands relatively close to okc? Where I could possibly get into some fishing, hunting, camping etc with just a land pass or fishing/hunting permit.

Reviews Summary
Visitors consistently praise the Blue River Public Fishing and Hunting Area for its stunning natural beauty and excellent fishing opportunities, often describing it as 'heaven on earth.' The picturesque river, opportunities for hiking, and the unique Tishomingo Granite outcropping are major draws. However, some visitors note issues with litter and graffiti left by others, detracting from the otherwise pristine environment.
"This was a beautiful place to get out and enjoy our beautiful state. I loved seeing a guy taking his children fishing in this area. Very very picturesque area. There was two areas where we were at, that you could enjoy the river from. There are also restrooms here even though it's in the middle of nowhere. Keep in mind no they're not the best but they are a toilet. This is also a hunting area for Oklahoma so this is a great way to get out and enjoy Oklahoma and everything it has to offer."

"This was a fun place to visit. Unfortunately, other people go here. And that means piles of trash, graffiti and food waste. Once you get past that, this is a really great place access to the river is easy. There’s a parking lot not far from where you cross over the low water bridge. There’s a great area for hiking along the river. Several small streams for rock hounding. And you don’t have to collect rocks you can just take videos and pictures just like with the wildlife. It’s also a cool place to see some of the oldest rock in Oklahoma with the Tishimingo Granite outcropping."

"If you love nature and would like to get some nature time. Here is the place you have to immerse into. You can come here anytime. Be sure to bring a fishing liscense. The camp site is first come first serve. There are a lot of areas to explore. You can have a trekk in the woods and find yourself a bery amazing haven or you can follow the river and ride the current make sure you have a sturdy floaty. There are space for you to do kayaks. You can camp here too. Just pls dont bring any bottles near the river and pls be respectful with nature. We often find litter everywhere. We made sure we bring trash bags when we trekk cause we always end up with some garbage. I hate people doing that. Anyway here are hidden areas not everyone knows how to get there too. You have to figure it out. Enjoy nature like you enjoy yourself."
