What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors rave about the Timpoochee Trail's scenic beauty, connecting charming beach towns and rare coastal dune lakes. It's praised as one of the best bike paths in the Florida Panhandle, offering a smooth, paved surface for cycling and running. Some minor inconveniences include occasional trail maintenance or road crossings, but overall, it's a highly recommended experience for families and active travelers.
"We took our family of 5 (kids ages 13-17) on e-bikes from Miramar to Seaside. While there is a little bit of heavy traffic on the 98 Hwy, there is a paved bike path next to the main highway the entire way to the trailhead. We did have to drive across the highway due to trail maintenance, but it was okay. The Timpoochee Trail was such a great ride with lots of Dune Lakes, forest area, and quaint beautiful beach homes along the way. We were able to complete 32 mile round trip to Seaside and back on one battery charge, as long as we used the pedal assist feature (for those wondering about e-bike capabilities). Highly recommend for teenagers and older."

"This might be one of the best bicycle-walking trails in the Florida panhandle; scenic views; wide, asphalt/concrete. Trail does cross to opposite sides of 30-A, but crossings are well-marked, with warnings to vehicles, to give priority to cyclists & pedestrians."
