"We walked down downtown Talkeetna and chose this place for lunch. The host was super friendly and talked about the menu items.
We sat down in the covered patio area which was shaded and roomy. It was a gorgeous sunny day. We ordered the salad and the fish n chips. The batter was a little soft but the halibut couldn't be beaten. It was delicious by any standard. The salad was also very nice.
The food is prepared by the two food trucks on the edge of the patio. They are pretty fast and the waitress was working hard. The atmosphere was relaxing"

"It was exactly as advertised, accommodation above the 100 year old pub in Talkeetna. The rooms were basic but spotlessly clean as were the 2 shared bathrooms. The one with the claw bath was great! We were in on a Saturday night so figured we wouldn't get much sleep, but we lucked out as the band was excellent so we partied until 1.00 along with all the locals. Good fun!"
