Reviews Summary
Visitors praise the Proctor Farmers Market for its wide variety of fresh produce, delicious baked goods, and unique artisan crafts. The lively atmosphere and community feel are consistently highlighted as positives. However, some shoppers have reported issues with payment discrepancies and unexpected charges, advising others to double-check their receipts.
"Lot of stands and things to see. However check your receipts or credit card charges that match what you paid for! I can’t believe this happens here but I got food from a stand and the final amount that I approved from their handheld device with my phone is different than the receipt online they sent me!
Well it seems they added a 20% “tip” charge after I approved my card for a different amount. Like wow, they should give tipping options on their device instead of charging afterward. People and I are more than happy to add tip and approved the amount. But there was no visible signs or any verbal communication of a 20% auto tip that will be added and won’t match what I approved and authorized on their pos system. It seems scammy for an employee with system rights to manually add tip AFTER my card was approved WITHOUT informing me. So unethical and fraudulent to do that to customers! I had to tell my friend to tell her friend to check her card charge from that vendor because she also bought from the same vendor. I have to wonder how many customers have been extra charged without being informed.
Customers should always be informed at the beginning if there are any auto gratuity verbally and/or in writing. Approved and authorized amounts should matched what customers approved and authorized. But it didn’t here! I am still shock I experienced this at a farmer market. Can’t always be too careful to double check when people have your card information and can change the charge amount without approval."

"I work at the Lattins booth so this is a biased opinion, but for a farmers market in the city, it's a good one. Lots of booths, lots of plants and interesting products. Lots of yummy baked goods and just good local product, Worth the time to go in and shop."
