"Visited here yesterday and it’s now one of my top favorite local history museums. The historical society has packed so much into such a tiny building! All my questions about the old swing bridge were answered, but the museum isn’t only for the bridge anymore; it’s really for Sunset Beach overall. And although Sunset Beach has only existed as such since the late 1950s, you can learn about naval operations nearby during WWII and the construction of the Intracoastal Waterway (which the old bridge used to cross) and about American Indian artifacts recently found in this area.
