I stayed in a suite at The Grand Hotel in Sunnyvale and had a great experience. The room was spacious and well-maintained, and housekeeping came daily, which I really appreciated. The staff was kind and helpful throughout my stay.
What made it even better was the location. Everything I needed was within walking distance — the Sunnyvale Public Library was just a 5-minute walk, and Washington Park along with the public pool were about 15 minutes on foot. I also found plenty of nearby Indian restaurants and other great food options just a short walk away.
It was a comfortable and convenient stay, and I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area!"

"The staff was friendly, but nearly everything else felt outdated or poorly maintained. The elevator was extremely slow, and there wasn’t convenient access to the stairs. The bed felt like nothing more than a worn-out box spring, and the breakfast was comparable to what you’d find at a budget motel. It’s difficult to understand how this property is rated as a “4-star” hotel. Even more concerning, the elevator did not have a functioning emergency phone—only a posted phone number, which assumes all guests have a cell phone… which is very illegal.. elevators are required to have working emergency phone.

"When we travel we don’t expect everything to be perfect but we do expect to stay in a fairly clean hotel room. When we arrived, there was a third of a roll of toilet paper, and only one wash cloth for two adults. The shower had mold along the seam of the door and the soap dispenser was also dirty. The room was not clean at all. The floor had a big stain next to the bed, the bed had an unidentified stain on the mattress, and the couch was more than dingy and had stains as well. We didn’t sit on it the whole of our stay. The carpet along wall had a layer of dust that showed they didn’t vacuum the edges for a very long time. I didn’t find out until I was in the shower that there wasn’t any body wash in the dispenser. My wife went to the front desk and asked for a cloth and body wash. They could not find any so they took it out of another room. That took about fifteen minutes. They never dropped off the additional wash cloth so when house keeping came, I asked and they gave us two more. One of them had black stains all over it. The air conditioner was so loud that every time it kicked on we woke up. And the small fridge compressor was failing so it was humming pretty loud and that also was keeping us from getting a good nights sleep. This is not a four star hotel."
