Reviews Summary

Visitors praise the Chattahoochee Forest National Fish Hatchery for its educational value and the beauty of its natural surroundings. The opportunity to see fish in various stages and the accessibility of fishing spots outside the hatchery are frequently highlighted. Some visitors note the presence of snakes and the need for caution.

"It is a beautiful, educational, and interesting place. There are plenty of places to fish outside the fence. Be careful of snakes; there are many among the rocks."

LETICIA ZAIZAN

"Spring in the Blue Ridge Mts., cool nights, warm days, trout fishing, Blood Mt hike, gold panning. And the spring ephemerals are showing out. Campfires with family. Doesn't get any better."

james hembree

"The Fish Hatchery is nice. Cools to see the progression of how the fish move through the stages of the pens. The workers are friendly and available to ask questions. Nice spots to fish outside of the fence, so you can go fish outside of operation hours. There is a small lake about 2 miles further down the road to check out. Camping spots all along the road you can tent camp. I think there is one camp area you can reserve spots, the rest look like first come first serve. There are a lot of banded water snakes hanging around the rocks of the river."
