Reviews Summary

Visitors consistently praise the Stuart Heritage Museum for its free admission and the wealth of local history it preserves. The friendly volunteers and the unique collection of donated artifacts, including vintage catalogs and yearbooks, are frequently highlighted as major draws. It's considered a must-see for anyone interested in the heritage of Stuart and Martin County.

"This museum is a collection of history surrounding the Treasure Coast. We browsed at our leisure and then met one of the museum board members, Judy, and she gave us a condensed lesson on shipwrecks and neat treasure finds in the area. We could have talked to her for hours. All the volunteers inside were friendly and helpful. We were introduced to Anna who took us downstairs to show us the replica canoes she and her high school classmates had made using similar methods as the tribes in the area had.
So many really neat items throughout this museum. It is a little cramped downstairs to see those exhibits, but just remember to duck). Definitely a neat place to spend some time and get lesson on Martin County. As members of a pioneer family in a neighboring County it's always nice to see history of Florida that showcases what made our state what it is.
When we visited (Dec 2025) there was no admission fee, but they do run on donations."

"A perfect little off-beat museum that captures the flavor of this wonderful little town. Admission is free. And if Gloria is there, ask her some questions. She is a wealth of information!"

Gorman Bechard

"Loved this piece of history. They have a 1902 and 1908 Sears Roebuck Catalouges....amazing piece of history. Go, you will be glad you did."
