What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
The Stowe Farmers Market offers a charming community experience with a variety of local produce, artisanal goods, and live music. While some visitors found early-season offerings limited and prices on the higher side, the market's beautiful setting and the quality of available items, especially later in the season, are frequently praised. It's a beloved Sunday tradition for experiencing Vermont's local flavors and crafts.
"This farmers market felt a bit lackluster compared to others I’ve visited in Vermont—though to be fair, it may be due to the early-season timing. There was just one vegetable stand, a couple of meat and egg vendors, two spirit booths, and the rest was mostly arts and crafts. My friend and I were hoping for more produce and baked goods, which we assume will show up later in the season.
The setting itself is spacious, with a large open field and live music that added a nice touch to the atmosphere. However, the entrance wasn’t clearly marked—we completely missed it on the first pass. A visible flag or sign by the road would really help, especially since turning around near the entrance isn’t easy and could be frustrating during busier times.
Prices were on the high side, especially for maple syrup—definitely a sticker shock moment. If you visit, I recommend walking the full market before buying anything, as some vendors offer similar items at noticeably different prices.
Overall, it has potential, and I imagine it improves as the season goes on, but it wasn’t quite what we were hoping for this time around."

"(Although maybe not a fair review today, as storms were around before and expected later today, they still earned

The things that were there were super! Would guess many vendors couldn't make it today, which is understandable. Terrific new location in an open field, near a walking trail, plenty of parking. (Thank you to the person who worked hard mowing that huge field yesterday! We saw them in their rain jacket, working hard!)
We're only here for the week or we would go back. Thanks to all the vendors who were there - especially to get more yummy things from "Two Sons". (Coconut Sweet Croissant! SOOOO flaky and lovely!)"
