"Visited in Early October and there were quite a few tour buses, but after you were through the entrance it did not feel crowded at all. We thought it was a little pricey at first, but it's pretty good value for what you experience. Both my wife and I have mobility challenges, and the only drawback to an otherwise wonderful experience was that the walkways were gravel, which made getting around difficult. There's a lot to see and experience it offers visitors an immersive experience into the nation’s maritime heritage, featuring historic ships, a recreated 19th-century seafaring village, engaging exhibits, and beautiful waterfront scenes. Definitely worth the visit."

One of the highlights was catching the fireboat with its hoses on full blast—something we learned doesn’t happen very often. We watched the blacksmith at work, explored the cooperage, wandered through the historic ships, and soaked in the magic of this living museum by the water.
