"This is a living farm, so everyone working there dresses in period clothing. It was cool to watch them make a meal with meat and vegetables from the farm. The staff are very knowledgeable about the farms history, so feel free to ask questions or have them walk you around. We went on a Saturday early and it wasn't super busy. There are trail you can walk and clean bathrooms at the visitors center and throughout the park."

"The people there, were so nice. Loving to share stories, ideas, how to, explaining. The house and facilities are showing life on the farm, in 1900's. Pay attention to the thickness of the walls, magazines of Sears and Roebuck house purchases. High ceilings, transoms over the doors, no plumbing or electricity, check out porch and breezeway ceilings, (no bees nests or spiders, how is that possible you ask, sky blue paint color). Check out two seater outhouse. I could tell that the period dressed reinactors loved their work and enjoyed sharing. Make sure you check out the chandler that lowers and raises in complete balance. These kinds of actual museum type examples will probably be gone in 50 years. It seems like people don't really care about our pass anymore."

It would have been nice if there had been a few others available to everyone to help us feel immersed in the experience. I'm still grateful it's free and informative about LBJ and his life.
