What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors praise Stone Mountain Park for its incredible hiking opportunities and stunning summit views, often describing the climb as a unique and rewarding experience. The park's natural beauty and seasonal festivals are also highlighted as major draws. However, some find the entrance and parking fees to be high, and the historical context of the Confederate carving remains a point of contention for some.
"Spent Easter climbing this 8th Wonder of the World, incredible experience, walking up this natural beauty! Has shop, with food and drink at top. Also can take a cable car on up, and down. But being one with Nature, you want to get the "Certificate of Achievement" from the Confederate Hall..which has a replica of the carvings, if you cannot get a good photo. It also has a walk thru of the geological formation of this Wonder. I Highly Recommend you enjoy this Grand Experience!"

"Awesome opportunity to take a hike on a one of a kind mountain.
Well maintained and great experience."

"Had I known it was a place of worship i wouldnt have gone. Everything in the gift shop belonged in a church gift store. The cost was outrageous and everything should be free for the quality of what you get. Train ride was boring and nothing to see, just a way to relax out of pocket. Food was good and staff were friendly but not worth $1 admission... laser light show was cool but VERY outdated..."
