I commend their dedication to providing such detailed and descriptive imagery in describing the video that they, themselves, had just witnessed moments ago. My five stars are more in honor of any photographer(s) that have dealt with harassment at the Port of Stockton and their detailed breakdowns of situations that occur at the Port, than it would be for the Port of Stockton generally as a location. "You have officers there that are under the impression that their paychecks come from the business's on the port and not from the tax payers. It has made them pompous, unruly and totally ready to assault the public on a whim. I have just watched a video of an ( can't call him an officer so I will call him a city worker, ) city worker stop a videographer on a public (PUBLIC) street and harass, threaten, and attempt to intimidate him into providing id for filming. It got to the point that he was ready to go back to his vehicle and remove his gun to come back and do battle with the civilian. After a few steps he realizes that he will never be able to control both the cameras of the civilians filming partner and stops and returns to poke his hand in the civilians face while spraying spit all over said civilian. The officer is still living in the past and expects news gatherers to wear a hat with a little press badge stuck in the band. There is no such thing as a press pass anymore. And everybody has cameras. Apparently his problem is with the type of camera. The city workers higher up showed up and immediately started try to make excuses for his underling and starts to quote non existent laws. To all workers in this department: You need to get retrained in the laws. In the age of cameras, anyone can record actions of the public officials in the line of duty, Private property can be filmed from a publicly accessible place and that includes a private company that has contracts with the government, ( that's called transparency. ) And lastly nothing and I mean nothing, no bylaws, policies, or hurt feeling or someones feeling of uncomfortableness can trump the constitution of The United States Of America. The same constitution that all of these city workers swore an oath to uphold."
