"One of the jewels of the Berkshires, Ice Glen is a trail in Stockbridge, Massachusetts. It's been a landmark for hundreds of years, and is even mentioned in Melville's Moby Dick ("The wood was green as mosses of the Icy Glen"). It features, well a glen of course, but also rock formations, caves, and sure enough, ice well into the summer under its rocks. To visit, park at the dead end of Park Street. Walk across the bridge. Follow the trail to Ice Glen. Exit on Ice Glen Road (gorgeous vistas!). Take a right onto Route 7 and a right onto Park St. to return to your car. The entire walk took me about an hour."

"Great hiking spot, not a easy road. Have a lot of rocks on the way. Distances wise is not far, but you would probably used your legs and hands. Two minutes in I already feel I am in the different world already. A two hours walk, and I feel my whole body feel great. Really enjoy it!"
Tom Chang
"Great place to hike. There are several places where you'll scramble over rocks so wear good boots. I'd avoid this in icy or wet weather. The climb up is moderate. Total length is around 1.25 mile."
