What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors consistently praise St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Churches for their beautiful, ornate architecture and serene atmosphere, often comparing them to European cathedrals. The welcoming nature of parishioners and the peaceful ambiance make it a favored spot for reflection and worship. Some minor concerns might arise regarding parking during peak Mass times.
"This church is a beautiful building that reminds me of European churches as it is ornate with stained glass windows, blue ceiling arches and an array of statues. I especially like the Stations of the Cross.
When I was there, Mass was packed, and the pews are comfortable. The Priest delivered a thoughtful sermon and greeted people as they left the building. One surprise was during Communion, parishoners knelt at the altar and the altar boy held a paton for those who wanted to receive in that way, like in the old days. I, however, stood to receive the sacrament as my knees are wobbly. The Priest did not object. I look forward to going back some day."

"Great traditional catholic church!"

"+JMJ Very many fond memories of this Church. The parishioners are welcoming and hospitable. My visits afforded me the opportunity mainly to interact with fellow members of a lay apostolate called the Legion of Mary. Even though I wasn't able to participate in the Holy Mass, I was able to meet the priests at those Legion of Mary meetings. They were always inspiring in their spiritual talks given at meetings. The transcendental beauty of the Church surrounds those who enter into an atmosphere of peace, serenity. Also, there is a side Chapel devoted to private prayer and a visit with Jesus truly present in the Holy Sacrament of the Alta. If in the area, a visit paid, will be a visit full of blessings.
