What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors consistently praise the Stifel Theatre for its breathtaking historic architecture and intimate atmosphere, making it a beautiful venue for a wide range of performances. However, many note significant drawbacks with long concession lines and cramped seating in certain sections, which can detract from the overall experience.
"The Stifel Theatre is absolutely one of the most beautiful venues in St. Louis. The décor alone is worth the visit. Rich with historic charm, intricate detailing, and a classic elegance that sets the perfect tone for a night out. I recently had the pleasure of seeing Je'Caryous Johnson's production - Games Women Play, and it was phenomenal. The energy, the performances, and the overall atmosphere made for a truly memorable experience. However, one area that consistently disappoints is the concessions. The lines are incredibly long — on multiple visits, I've had to wait upwards of 25 to 30 minutes just to grab a drink or a snack. This often means missing part of the show or rushing through intermission, which takes away from the otherwise seamless experience. For a venue of this caliber, I’d love to see improvements in concession efficiency, perhaps more staff, express options, or even mobile ordering. I love the Stifel Theatre and will continue to attend events here, but I hope to see changes that make the concession experience match the excellence of the performances and ambiance."

"The Stifel is an absolutley Breathtaking place to see any artist you love. The Venu is so gorgeous inside and out and the sound quality is crisp and clean.
I saw Sierra Farrel and it was a wonderful time, my downsides would be that the Mezz seating up top is quite cramped and the chairs are tiny, this is average for an older opra house/theater but these chairs seemed VERY tight. If you have back problems like me or are a larger person you may consider floor or side box seating where larger rows and chairs may be available.
The area is questionable for young kids and girls so if you are walking to a parking garage or hotel travel in a group with close friends and concert goers.
As for parking the venu and most hotels do not include or provide parking lots, expect to pay atleast $2 per hour for street or parking garage parking.
All together this trip was great and so worth it, I will be seeing more shows at the Stifel for years to come"

"This place was amazing. We did not get any food or drinks and the parking is a bit rough ($30 at a nearby lot) but the place is beautiful and intimate. A smaller venue so every seat is a good seat. The orchestra was beautiful and the show was very well done. All of the staff we encountered were polite and helpful."
