What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors praise A Street Beach for the unique experience of driving directly on the sand, calling it a bucket-list item. The reasonable entry fee and friendly staff are also highlighted. However, some caution that navigating the soft sand can be challenging, especially for non-4WD vehicles, and getting stuck is a possibility.
"For a vehicle beach access this one is excellent. There are staff at the entrance, you can ask them questions, they will offer information. The entrance fee is reasonable to the beach. Went here twice in two days, used this entrance. If you want to do the full 10 Mile run south, start here. Be warned, the entrance can be kind of soft here. But local folks say if you can make it through this part, then you can make it through the rest."

"Great time riding on the beach. I would warn those not familiar with driving in sand that it's not that simple to just have 4 wheel drive. Too low a clearance and your scraping sand. Tires too thin or pressure too high and you're digging in. There was one vehicle stuck on each trip we made.
I do wish it was not a one way direction, but I guess it's needed for the not so good drivers in sand.
Everyone was friendly. When parked, it was like watching a car show of 4x4's going by."

"The guy at the booth was very nice. It's $10 to get on for non-residents. It's great to drive on the beach! 🏖️ You must have a four-wheel drive to go onto the beach."

Beyond the driving itself, the experience is akin to a mobile car show, with a variety of 4x4 vehicles lining the shore.
