"My husband and I recently visited on 10/5/2024 and I felt compelled to share my thoughts regarding the current state of the grounds. Unfortunately, my experience was disheartening due to several concerning issues that need urgent attention.
Firstly, the overall condition of the grass was quite alarming. Instead of the lush greenery one would expect in a cemetery, the grass was completely dead in most areas, giving the place a neglected appearance. This is not only unsightly but also disrespectful to those resting there and their loved ones who come to pay their respects.
Additionally, I noticed that several trees on the property appear to be dying. It’s disheartening to see what should be a serene and peaceful environment deteriorating in this manner. We did get stopped by someone driving through letting us know he was going to be the new groundskeeper, but I can assure one man will not be able to handle the workload.
Moreover, several of the headstones are broken or in disrepair. This is particularly troubling, as these markers represent the memories of individuals who deserve to be honored and remembered properly. It’s painful to see them in such a state of neglect."

"I have been visiting this cemetery since I was a little girl. My great grandparents, my grandparents, my great aunt and uncle, and my immediate uncle are buried here. I visited this past week and I was utterly shocked and appalled at the neglect and ugliness of the second level. I read some recent reviews with similar concerns with replies stating a pump system broke in 2023 however there are towering pines and evergreen shrubs that are completely dead. I’m not an expert on pine trees but I do know pines and evergreens do not fully die and dry out to a crisp in that amount of time.
The lack of upkeep of the second level is a complete disservice the men and women who founded Spokane that are laid to rest there."

"Ok, first tome ever being to the 1,000 steps! We made sure to go during daylight. I could definitely see how this would be scary as all get out at night! Pretty cool! Have to find it, so the hint is definitely a fun part of this adventure! We heard that this was one of the most haunted places in Spokane, and we love us some Ghost Adventures! So needless to say, we were not disappointed! Go check it out! It’s kind of hidden on the second terrace! 10/10 recommend, do it! See if you can do it at dusk! We could not lol!"
