What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Deerlick Creek Park is praised for its excellent rock hunting opportunities and the scenic beauty of the creek meeting Lake Michigan. However, visitors note the very rocky terrain requires appropriate footwear, and parking can be limited. Some also mention confusion regarding dog policies.
"This is a small place, but it suited our needs as we didn't want a long hike to a beach, but wanted to rock hunt a little. Do not look for anything fancy. As the report of john's and one picnic table, but there's enough beach for kids enough rocks for the most avid rock hunter. And enough areas to provide shade for those that want it."
M Theresa Brown
"We chose this park because it was listed as Dog friendly. When we arrived there where signs posted saying no dogs on beach. It had originally been dogs allowed on leash but at some point it was changed and not updated here on Google.
Also when the reviews say it’s rocky, the mean you can’t hardly walk with out tripping or stubbing your toes. Definitely bring hard bottom water shoes if you plan on going in the water. The creek is nice but just as rocky only you can see them."
Ashley Hanna
"This is a pretty beach but limited parking. One place online said Dog were welcome but when we got there no dogs allowed. I wish there were more dog friendly places."
