Airport Advice?
I'll be traveling to upstate NY through Burlington airport for the first time. Wondering if anyone could offer any tips or warnings regarding the Airport. I've read to prepare for long, long lines very early in the morning, but we are arriving and departing in the afternoon.…

Burlington airport
How do people feel about BTV airport? What have experiences been like? I was utterly shocked today by what seems like a pure lack of competence with multiple airlines. Several people in training being left to function on their own with checking people in. Not to sound dramatic…

☕ Grab a Bite Airside
The Skinny Pancake offers breakfast and drinks airside for a pre-flight treat. ☕
Heads up if you're flying out of BTV in the morning . Get. There. Early. The one hour rule is now the 2.5-3 hour rule. TSA is at least an hour now in the morning. More travelers, more flights and less staff.
Well shit, if I remember right, the "official rules" have been get there around 2-2.5 hours early for domestic, but I've generally made it through everything in less than 20 minutes. This is bad news.

What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Burlington International Airport (BTV) is praised for its compact, easy-to-navigate layout and surprisingly fun amenities like airport games and a rooftop observation area. While some find concession prices high and baggage carousels slow, the friendly staff and family-friendly features make it a pleasant travel hub. The ongoing expansion promises even better facilities.
"Small but easy to maneuver. The baggage carousel needs replacement lots of noises when running and runs very slow! To rent cars inside airport which was handy then you walk to deck to pick up cars. Tried to upgrade wanted to charge $550 almost as much as paying for vehicle in first place, very pitiful!"

"The Burlington Airport would have scored five stars except for the $4.49 Kind candy bar that I purchased at the gate. The Airport is easy to navigate. Rental cars are readily available in the parking garage. After hours car return in is a snap. The airport is in the midst of a major expansion, so I'm hoping it will only get better. $4.49 for a candy bar is a bit much; it makes one wonder who is on the take in this deal."

"This airport is great. It’s relatively small, so it’s not packed with people, and the TSA folks are surprisingly friendly—I was literally fist-bumped by the TSA guy after passing through security.
But the best part is that the airport has games and a piano in the terminal. And not lame games: we’re talking shuffleboard, ping pong, giant checkers and chess, and foosball. Probably the most fun I’ve had waiting for a flight at the airport!"
