Visitors rave about Rock Springs Run State Reserve, calling it the 'best central Florida has to offer' for its natural beauty and tranquil atmosphere. The cool, clear spring and lazy river float are highlights, perfect for families and those seeking a refreshing escape. While parking can sometimes require a walk, the affordable entry and abundant wildlife make it a highly recommended destination.
"The best central Florida has to offer. Time stands still here and one with nature. Great concrete paths to walk to the head of the spring, get you tube or snorkel and take the jump in to the crisp 68 degree water! Let the lazy river carry you through natural landscape through a winding wilderness, under bridges, past the beach to the end another 1/4 mile down stream. Take the nature trail back to where you started. We seen a few racoons and deer along the way. The two of us was $3.00 to get in. We had to walk a ways to park, but worth the hike. They have lockers, a concession stand, food, BBQ grills, anything you need. Tube rentals at the beginning to rent. Definitely going to go back!"
Renee
"It is very nice for family trip especially for tubing. Short walk and pleasant floating on the river. Clear and gentle water suitable for seniors and kids."
Ruby Hendrix
"Clear cool water. To enjoy the head springs it’s best to have a tube as rocks are unforgiving. Nice shallow swim area and some excellent short hikes. Check on hours for concessions as they may not be open. Campsite was shaded."
