Reviews Summary

Visitors find Old Mission Santa Inés to be a beautiful and historically significant landmark, offering a peaceful escape with its charming architecture and well-maintained gardens. It's considered a worthwhile stop for its cultural heritage and tranquil atmosphere, though the museum tour is relatively brief. InstagramReddit

"The Santa Inez Mission is a short distance from downtown Solvang, California. If you’re traveling to or through the area, this is a good place to visit.

Touring the actual museum doesn’t take too much time, maybe a good 20 minutes. It’s small but nonetheless interesting; a lot of photos ,art, tools, clothing, etc..

The exist to museum leads you to the back of the mission where you can explore the garden. Again, it’s a short round about walk but worth experiencing. There are benches throughout the garden to sit and take in the view with ample shade.

Self guided tours are 9am to 4pm with a small entry fee per person."

"Old Mission Santa Ines (est 1804) is one of the church missions by Franciscans in California. This is located in Solvang. It has a very rich history and an important cultural landmark. During that time the land was inhabited my Chumash, natives of the area. Today, it has a museum, a gift shop and Sunday service.

Overall, it’s a wonderful Mission."

Carlo N.

"Hadn't been here since 1988! It was still as awesome as it was back then. Only this time, the main mission church was closed for renovations. But that was ok. The grounds are beautiful, and so are the views!"
