"Beautiful retirement home. The lady at the gift shop was so friendly and welcoming, enjoyed chatting with her."

"A hidden gem! Cheesy high priced, Made-In-China souvenirs are all over these Alaskan tourist towns. If you want a Real memento of your Alaskan adventure, visit this place. The good, deserving people who live here are surprisingly adept at painting, modeling, and carving, and the prices are great! It's a small shop, and the goodies will also help put a bit more jingle and smiles on these elderly faces. And if you love to hear original eyewitness history of the area, this is the place. Come check it out! A beautiful, very clean historic building and grounds are a great place to get away from the tourist crowds. My wife and I were on our Bucket List Alaskan Cruise. This place is an easy walk from the Cruise Ship docks. One more note: On our visit, there was some great piano playing being performed by one of the Ship's musicians from our ship. Quantum of the Seas. Wonderful!"
