What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Splash Kingdom Waterpark Shreveport offers a mixed bag of experiences. While many visitors praise the friendly staff and find value in season passes and discounted entry, concerns about cleanliness, attraction closures, and maintenance issues are frequently raised. The park is undergoing upgrades, which may explain some inconsistencies, but visitors should be aware of potential drawbacks.
"May 2025. We had a blast today!!!! I brought my 7 and 5 year old, and then I had my friend's kids with us too, a 7 and 2 year old and there was fun for us all! I like how I could play in the kiddy pool with the 2 year old and also watch the older kiddos go slide down a big kid slide. We spent $230 on the family pack seasonal tickets, the 2 year old got in for free and the extra 7 year old was like $20 something to get in on just a day pass. The cooler we brought was a biggin. We paid $30 to bring a big cooler in. We ended up getting some dippin' dots from the concessions, 3 mediums for $5 each which I didn't think was bad. I can't remember all the flavors they had but there was lots to choose from. Next time I'll probably skip the cooler and try out what they have available to eat and drink. No alcohol allowed and no smoking allowed. The place is being worked on, so the aesthetic isn't there at all but the generalness was clean, staff was friendly, and there was only one slide not operating for unknown reason and the lazy river is out of commission as well which i was def a little sad about. I do think they need to post menus and prices at ALL concessions and they need to have someone go in the bathroom at least once an hour to tidy up because WOW that was rough."

"Took my family here this afternoon and had an amazing time! It’s been years since I last visited, and I was blown away by how much the park has improved. The attractions were both fun and safe, the staff was incredibly attentive and kind, and the food was absolutely delicious. I was also impressed with how clean the park was throughout our visit. A huge thank you to the new owner and management team for the upgrades and continued improvements—it’s clear that a lot of care and effort is going into making this place something special. I truly believe in the direction they’re headed, and I’m excited to see how Wonder Oasis continues to grow. Thank you for creating a place where my family and I can enjoy clean, safe fun together!"

For Different Travelers
Tailored advice for your travel style
👨👩👧 Families with Young Children
While some attractions might be closed, the presence of a safe play area for the youngest visitors ensures they have a fun experience. Consider bringing a large cooler for snacks and drinks to manage costs and cater to picky eaters. Be prepared for potential cleanliness issues in common areas, and prioritize the safety and enjoyment of your children in the designated kid-friendly zones.
💰 Budget Travelers
Bringing your own food and drinks in a large cooler (for a fee) can significantly cut down on expenses compared to park concessions. Keep an eye out for military discounts if applicable. While the park may have some maintenance and cleanliness concerns, the lower entry costs can make it an attractive option for a fun day out without breaking the bank.
☀️ Day-Trippers
Be sure to check the park's operating hours and attraction status beforehand, as some rides may be unavailable. If you're coming from out of town, factor in travel time and consider the park's location for ease of access. While the park is undergoing improvements, it can still provide a refreshing escape for a few hours.

Navigating Attractions and Closures
For families with younger children, the kiddie pool area is a highlight, providing a safe and engaging space for toddlers. The main slide area offers thrills for older kids and adults. Despite some reported closures, the available attractions still provide a good amount of fun for a day out. It's advisable to manage expectations regarding the full operational status of all rides and to focus on the attractions that are confirmed to be open.
Key takeaway: While the park aims to provide a full waterpark experience, be prepared for potential closures of certain attractions. Prioritize checking for updates and focus on the available fun.
Cleanliness and Maintenance Concerns
These maintenance issues can detract from the overall guest experience and raise questions about safety. The presence of trash and broken elements in water areas is particularly concerning. While new management is reportedly working on upgrades, consistent cleaning and maintenance are essential for a positive and safe environment.
Recommendation: Visitors should be aware of these potential issues and consider bringing hand sanitizer. It's also worth noting that the park's aesthetic is described as 'not there at all' due to ongoing work.
Value and Season Passes
Bringing your own cooler for food and drinks can be cost-effective, though there is a fee associated with larger coolers. While some concessions might seem reasonably priced, like Dippin' Dots, the overall cost of food and drinks can add up. Military discounts are also available, further enhancing the value for eligible visitors.
Consideration: Weigh the cost of day passes against season passes based on your planned frequency of visits. The after-4 PM discount is a smart way to experience the park on a budget.
