"I personally believe that this is the most beautiful park in Shreveport! The large grassy fields are frequently maintained and freshly manicured. There is LOTS of space for any and everything—from intimate family picnics or play dates to large events with numerous people. Near the Fairfield Ave to Ockley entrance, there is a spacious soccer field with 2 soccer goals.
Around the perimeter of the park there is a trail that people from the neighborhood and others walk. I’ve been in the mornings during end of Spring/early summer and it’s a pretty busy. People of all ages. I’ve seen some middle and high schools out jogging. Some people also bring their dogs to walk. Nevertheless, everyone is nice and friendly.
There are plenty of giant trees that bring shade. There are about 2 covered pavilions with multiple picnic style tables underneath each. The playground itself is small but newly remodeled. There are also picnic tables inside the playground area that provide convenient seating. Although, it would be nice to have benches in the shade for when it gets super hot in the summer months. It would be nice if they added a splash pad next to the playground equipment. That would be icing on the cake for this park. Nevertheless, it has been pretty scenic and very therapeutic for me to visit this park.
I removed one star from my review because of the restrooms. I understand that this is an outdoor park and the restrooms have been modeled accordingly. However, I believe that they should remodel them—including more stalls during construction. Also, it would be nice if they kept the restrooms stocked with basic essentials such as toilet paper and hand soap. I wish they would somehow make it as close to an indoor restroom facility as possible."

"It's nice and spacious grass on one side and the other side has a playground. My dog and I had fun walking around. They also have doggy cleanup trashcans. But they were out of bags when I went, so be sure to bring your own 😊
There's 3 bridges and a concrete drainage canal that's I think about 3 ft deep.
There's a short walking trail, that's perfect if you want a 15 minute walk. And it's paved, so it's decently accessible and easy to walk on."
