"Great park! Went to the last Music in the Park to see the Four Horseman and it was a great show. Lots of room to bring your own chairs, coolers and just hang out. The sunflower fields were in full bloom and made for some great pics!"

"Worth a visit! One of the nicest, cleanest parks I've been too. Great for walking, jogging, soccer, softball and covered pavilion gatherings. There's a terrific playground and splash pad for kids plus enclosed roomy dog park. Great job Shelbyville!"

"Blue River Memorial Park is a 186 acre park nestled up to little Blue River on the Northeast side of Shelbyville. The blue River Memorial Park’s center is a very nice memorial to Shelby County Veterans that died in war. The park has a 20 acre quail and butterfly habitat. Nice maintained clean fields and facilities. There is plenty to do in between games with trails, dog park, splash pad, playground, cross country course, pavilions for lunch or to get out of the shade, soccer field, fishing node, walking / biking trail, corporate shelter, canoeing / kayaking drop. You may also rent pavilions if you know ahead of time. At Blue River they have a separate parking area for the blue river Trailhead Boardwalk so you do not have to come into the park if other large crowds are present for a softball tournament or a cross country match. I could not find field numbers for the softball diamonds so I made a markup of the field/ diamond numbers that I have attached. There is plenty of parking and even more room for any outdoor activities you wish to do with family, friends, or teammates. 1 mile away is a Walmart superstore, gas station, Starbucks, and several fast food options. This park is located right off of 74 / U.S. highway 421. The only complaint I have is the long lines at the softball concession stand I waited for 52 min with 16 people in front of me. 70 minute game missed 52.."
