"We took the Sun to Cheese Tour. Such a fun experience! We were pulled on a wooden wagon by a farm truck and it took us all over the beautiful property to view the fabulous buildings, including Vanderbilt’s former mansion! We also got to see the cows up close, learn how they’re milked, and then taste some amazing cheeses made right on the farm. Super friendly guides, delicious samples, and a really cool look at the process from start to finish. Highly recommend!"

"Totally worth a visit!! You can purchase tours (book ahead because they do get sold out) or do your own thing for free! Dress appropriately to take the trails to the water! We unfortunately didn't have the time to walk there but the pictures looked amazing! There is a free shuttle that takes you to the barn (unfortunately not to the water tho) which is also a short hike if you would rather walk. It was so fun and interesting to learn about their cheddar making process with a glass wall that allows you to watch the cheese makers during the day and interactive activities for both adults and kids. The animals are adorable and friendly and there are daily farm demonstrations throughout the day where you can meet an animal or get some insight on wool collection or cheese making. The bakery has fresh bread, there's a cafe where you can get lunch and there's plenty of outdoor seating around the super gorgeous restored barn building. Definitely plan to spend at least a half day walking the grounds, learning about animals, cheese and trees."

"Really nice place to go for a walk in Burlington. You can do nice walking loop trails, see a barn where you can pet animals, taste cheddar cheese that is produced there and buy some fresh bread from their bakery. The entrance is free, but you can do guided tours to the house when available."
