"Coastal line - Gold Star - Too expensive
It was a good experience with the views..
They could speed up a little bit and make it on 3 hours from Seward to Anchorage.
No wonder there were no young adults or middle aged given the pace of the ride.
The most upsetting thing was - Constant talking and commentary by the crew/guide
They randomly say things like hey there is a moose once in every 15-20 minutes.
We spotted none all through the journey.
Food was pretty bad for non meat eaters.
The staff were very kind.. unfortunately they are instructed to keep talking all the way and throw facts.
We are here to enjoy the ride and views. Need some quiet and peace. Sharing facts and interesting history here and there is fine
Every single tour employer in Alaska is taught to talk about types of salmons, 1964 earthquake, moose.
If you do 5 tours in Alaska, 98% of the facts shared are the same.
Would recommend carrying a noise cancellation headphones if you want some time with nature."

"What a fun was to see part this part of Alaska. Staff was very friendly and shared their knowledge of the local area. It’s just what you’d expect a train ride through alaska to be with great views of the mountains, stops along the way from Anchorage to Seward, and fun people to make the trip memorable. ."
