"Just started offering an official Walking Dead studio tour. We did ours on the second day of them being open to the public. While being well worth-while, just know there are not many opportunities for pictures and very limited access to most sets. This is a mostly bus-led tour with a few spots where you can exit the bus for a picture. Well worth it for any TWD fan.

"We visited after they had wrapped shooting for the week and had the opportunity to walk around the outside of the property. Any one we encountered were super nice and willing to talk about how excited they were to be there and any experiences they had with the show affiliated with this studio and the one doing Stranger Things. All the no matter if they were industry people or not were very amicable and the whole vibe was golden and relaxing. Absolutely looking forward to my next visit."

For Different Travelers
Tailored advice for your travel style
👨👩👧 Families with Kids
When visiting with family, focus on the iconic locations that are visually striking, like the Dumpster Heap or the distinct architecture of Alexandria. Encourage kids to spot elements they remember from the show. Since photo opportunities are limited, make the most of the designated spots and consider taking short videos from the bus to capture the atmosphere. Exploring downtown Senoia afterward can also be a fun, less intense way to extend the Walking Dead experience for the whole family.
💰 Budget Travelers
To keep costs down, plan to pack your own snacks and drinks, as on-site concessions may be limited or pricey. Photography Tips for TWD Fans
When you have the chance to walk around areas like Oceanside or Alexandria, take a moment to frame your shots carefully. Look for angles that capture the essence of the set and its significance in the show. Even if you can't get a wide, sweeping shot, focusing on details can yield compelling images. Remember that the goal is to capture the feeling of being on set, rather than just a generic picture.
It's also worth noting that the studio is a working facility. While the tour provides access to specific areas, respect any restricted zones. The staff are usually helpful in guiding you on where photos are permitted. Consider bringing a camera with good zoom capabilities to capture details from the bus if direct access is limited.
