What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors are pleasantly surprised by Mill Creek Marsh Trail, appreciating its free access, easy terrain, and unexpected natural beauty, including wildlife and NYC skyline views. While some note the proximity to highway noise, many find it a worthwhile and unique 'Jersey' experience.
"Pretty nice. So random. It’s right next to a bobs furniture. Almost didn’t see anyone when I came. But did see a few a bobs furniture employees around here. Nice views but random highway and noises on the side. Traffic and birds and nature all in one. . It’s so Jersey"
Justin Delossantos
"I went to the Marsh Discovery Trail at Richard W. DeKorte Park in Lyndhurst, and it’s such a peaceful, easy walk. The half-mile boardwalk goes right over the water, with marsh grasses, open views, and plenty of birds all around. There are benches, shaded spots, and little viewing areas where you can just stop and watch.
I saw egrets, ducks, and lots of red-winged blackbirds, and the Manhattan skyline in the distance made it even more special. The trail is flat and good for all ages."
Aninda Sundar Mohanty
"Love this marsh, I'm a nature photographer and I often find interesting birds here, also Snakes, plants and other wildlife.
There is a homeless sleeping in a tent near highway 95 and the overpass, maybe he needs help."
