"We had to stop by Hat n’ Boots on our trip to Seattle. The kids had found it online and after learning the history, we decided to add it to our itinerary. Hat and Boots is connected to Oxbow Park and there is ample free street parking so it’s a short walk to take photos. If you have small kids, there is a playground area and there are some picnic tables if you bring a lunch. We were there for about 15 minutes and that was enough to take ample photos."

In the early 2000s, the original site was slated for demolition. Thankfully, a community effort led to the preservation and relocation of these iconic structures to Oxbow Park in 2005.
