What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Reviews for Ballard Landmark (an assisted living facility, not the district) are mixed. The location and community feel are often lauded, but potential residents and their families should carefully assess staffing levels and communication practices. "We could not be happier that we found Gencare Ballard for my mother. Her quality of life increased dramatically from her previous situation. She has blossomed socially, physically and emotionally. The staff is caring and attentive. The range of activities and opportunities are diverse and engaging, both in-house and around Seattle. We give our highest recommendation!"

"While Ballard Landmark is a nice facility, anyone that truly needs assisted living may find it lacking. While the staff is amazing, they are stretched very thin to the point that the residents may suffer. In repeated letters to the on-site management, these issues have not been fully addressed. If you are looking for assisted living "light", this is probably as a good a place as any."
Copper Wire News
"The Ballard Landmark is truly a gem of a place. I sincerely think it is the best residence community out there. The care-giving team is the best of the best and they are like friends to my mom. The food is good, the units are nice (my mom has a patio unit where she tends to her plants and loves it!), there's an amazing wellness facility (including salt water pool). The location is easy to navigate and the Ballard area has lots to do (including regular Sunday Farmers Market). The entire staff is friendly and they genuinely seem to like working there and genuinely like the residents. It feels really good to trust in this community and know that my mom is in a good place. Other places out there are less sincere and we know the difference."
