What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors generally praise The Pavilion at Montage Mountain for its exciting live music events and energetic atmosphere, with many enjoying the performances by top artists. However, common criticisms revolve around significant traffic and parking challenges, high food and drink prices, and the steep walk up the mountain. Some also note issues with restroom facilities and occasional security lapses.
"The Pavilion was really dope! From parking and tailgating to the concert, everything was organized and pretty clean honestly. The staff are nice, the food trucks and food options are tasty, I'm not thrilled with the prices, but it is a concert - my only suggestion is to have free water. Forcing guests to pay a huge mark up for liquid death water did not feel great. Furthermore the staff said they could not give me a cup due to inventory... wasn't a fan of that. I would go back, I'd just be more prepared next time."

"I got there at 2:45 because they said the lots opened at 3 and the lines were starting for parking. I got lucky they just opened the middle lane so I got to the top quickly. Stood in the fast lane to get in for 3 hours after walking down the mountain from the top to get to the one merch table I wanted to go to. Because they had none outside at the north/back entrance Then I saw a massive amount of people start leaving 4 songs into Breaking Benjamin the closing act, who I mostly wanted to see, so I decided to leave. I am glad I did because there was like 10 buses at the top waiting for people. I am sure that would have caused even more traffic problems. If my boyfriend had dropped me off like we had originally planned I would have had to walk down the entire mountain to meet him because of the buses at the drop off point. Yeah parking definitely was horrible. They couldn't even line up cars right to make an aisle. I am so glad I got an end spot with my truck or I would have been stuck waiting for people. I still had to drive down 4 aisles to find one I would fit to get to the exit. Horrible!! Super expensive prices on food. $10 for a pretzel. The show was good but I wished I could have seen it all but I didn't want to sit 3 hours on the mountain to get out. The lawn section was super over crowded from what I saw. Way too many tickets sold."

"We went to see creed and they were great but the other bands canceled because they kept delaying with no lightning. Also most sercurity sucks there! I went to grab security twice because some kids snuck in and where blocking our way and sercurity did nothing about it, I had to do there job. Overall I enjoyed creed but they should have refunded for the other bands. Very money hungry!"

While the atmosphere is generally lively and enjoyable, visitors should be prepared for the logistical aspects, such as traffic, parking, and the walk up the mountain, which are frequently discussed in online reviews and forums.
Concert Experience: What to Expect
Many concertgoers highlight the excitement of seeing their favorite bands perform live, with some performances being described as 'unforgettable' and 'incredible.' The pit section, when available, offers an especially intense experience for dedicated fans. However, the experience can be tempered by logistical challenges. Reviews frequently mention issues with traffic congestion, long waits for parking, and the steep walk up the mountain from parking areas.
Despite these challenges, the overall sentiment from many attendees is positive, appreciating the quality of the performances and the venue's atmosphere. It's advisable to plan ahead, arrive early, and be prepared for a full evening of entertainment, including potential delays in exiting the venue.
Navigating Logistics: Parking, Traffic, and Amenities
Traffic leading to and from the venue can also be heavy, particularly on nights with major headliners. This congestion can impact arrival times and the overall experience. While the venue offers a lively tailgating scene, it also contributes to the pre-show traffic flow.
Regarding amenities, the venue provides various food and beverage options, though prices are noted as being high. A common point of contention is the cost of water, with many visitors suggesting bringing empty reusable bottles for free refills. Restroom facilities are primarily portable toilets, which may not be ideal for everyone.
