What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Salt River Fields is a beautiful venue, especially praised for its spring training games and seasonal events like Enchant Christmas. Visitors enjoy the atmosphere, player access, and unique event offerings. However, some find the costs for tickets, parking, and concessions to be quite high, and seating can be very exposed to the sun.
"Beautiful outdoor field where the Diamondbacks and Rockies spend their spring training each year. The grass seating in the outfield is ideal and still (relatively) cheap. If you arrive an hour and a half early, you’ll catch the players warming up and can shag fly balls in the outfield. You can also score free autographs from the players! The food and drinks are also great. Highly recommend!"

"3 is good; nobody deserves 5
Nice park for spring training dbacks and rockies
WAY OVERPRICED but. You choose to pay for it
Some shaded seating mostly in the sun.
Sunscreen is about $10
It's gonna cost you some $$$ to go to a spring training game.
Probably the cost of 5 regular season games for the fairweather fans of d backs
You can park at the mall nearby and walk for free parking. BC of course they'll gouge to for that as well. But once again you go, you are willing to pay"

"Beautiful ball park, watched a Diamondbacks/Rockies Spring Training game. Ample parking (you do have to pay parking) lots of food, drink and merchandise shopping options. Everything is cashless, so make sure you have debut/credit cards or pay with your phone."

However, be prepared for the Arizona sun, as most seating areas are exposed. Many reviewers advise bringing sunscreen and hats, and note that the Rockies' side (first base) might offer more shade during afternoon games. The stadium operates on a cashless system, so ensure you have credit or debit cards or a mobile payment option ready for food, drinks, and merchandise.
Beyond the games, the experience extends to the surrounding areas. Some visitors enjoy exploring the practice fields outside the main stadium for a closer look at player preparations.
