"This is one of the most BEAUTIFUL Squares in ALL of Savannah, and I recommend EVERY.SINGLE.PERSON. visit this spot at least once in their lifetime.
If you are from the area, you may already be aware of this magical square. If you are visiting Savannah, this is such a special spot.
The BEST times, during the day, is early in the morning during sunrise and in the evening during sunset.
The best times, during the year, to visit the Square is April-June & late August - mid-October.
At sunrise, go to the Gazebo and sit facing East... As the sun comes up, the rays start to bounce off the glass and gold around the city, and it shines all around you. The light glitters and shines, making it impossible for you to NOT start your day with a smile.
In the evenings, as the sun goes down and the gazebo is starting to become shaded (in the summer), the fireflies will start to dance. They flutter all through the flowers and bushes surrounding the area, joining the butterflies that are always there. The rays of sunlight start to bounce off the glass and gold again.
All together, it makes you feel as if you are experiencing a moment of true fairytale magic.
(whether fairytale magic is real or not, you'll definitely feel like it is in that moment) And You won't be disappointed.❤️"

"Beautiful square in the heart of downtown savannah. The gazebo is gorgeous and lots of people get married here. One con, lots of homeless hang out here but generally are nice and harmless."

"This is a beautiful little square, so nice and peaceful. Whitefield Square is a great spot to take a relaxing stroll or some much needed chill time in the gazebo. Although its not exactly well lit at night it has always seemed like a pretty safe spot to me."
