Reviews Summary

Visitors rave about the Savannah Children's Museum's unique outdoor concept and engaging, hands-on activities that captivate young children for hours. The friendly staff and free parking are also frequently praised. However, the all-outdoor nature means it can get very hot in summer, and some wish for more convenient restroom facilities.

"It's a nice place but be aware that it's all outdoors and it gets very hot in the summer months. There is a train car with toys and AC to cool down in and there's if a water fountain. Staff is really sweet and friendly, they taught my girls about Pogo the yellow bellied slider today. Train portion is currently under construction so that was a bit of a bummer but we'll try to come back when it's open. It would be amazing if they could put in some more convenient bathrooms, but they do have some in the building next to the children's portion."

"This place is incredible. It is definitely different than any other children’s museum we’ve been to, but in a good way. It’s all outdoors. There is a walk from parking but you get to see the trains without having to pay train museum admission (which was sufficient for my toddler lol). When we visited, there was a water table, sand kitchen and garden that my kiddos particularly loved. We stayed around 2 hours and basically had to drag my kid out - he would have stayed in the sand kitchen forever.

It is smaller and I think geared more towards younger kids, but if that what you have then they’ll LOVE it. I could see us coming back again if we were in the area.

It was only April and warm - I am sure it gets HOT in the summer as there is minimal shade and it’s all outdoors. Bring your own water bottles - there are vending machines but they were sold out of all drinks when we went and they do have fountains to fill bottles."

Courtney Gfroerer

"My daughter had a great time! Very unique experience however because it is an outside museum, I would suggest more water exploration because it’s so hot in Savannah. The staff we interacted with were nice."
