They were enslaved from West Africa (Sierra Leone, Angola and other West African countries) forced to live/work in America. Their religion/spiritual practice is Seeking. This museum is a treasure and worth a visit. There is also a documentary entitled, Take Me To The Water and many books written about the Gullah Geechee culture. You should check them out! You will likely see a resident crawling around the museum, the Fiddler crab. The other natural beauty that is throughout Savannah are the mighty water oak trees draped with Spanish moss. They add to the charm of the city. 🫶🏽🙏🏽😊"
