"Short walk from large public parking lot. Restrooms are available along with the visitor center that has lots of educational information about the area along with books, stickers, etc. for purchase. I love the rocking chair and bench that is out on the patio that can be used to rest or just relax. For those of you who have dogs, you must keep your dogs leashed at all times. They do have a bowl of water at the visitor center that dogs can use, which is very helpful when it's hot out. You will see all different kinds of birds here along with coyotes, squirrels and other wildlife. It is a very special place to visit and explore."
