"We're done. I visited here as a pre-teen every spring with family and loved the quiet, laid-back 'sleepy' Suncoast even while young. It was the middle-class dream where everyone was equal and friendly. There was the beach, the food, and lots of culture. I finally moved here after getting married and with kids and was very happy that it was still the same. All of the arrogant, selfish people seemed to gravitate to the east coast of FL leaving us to enjoy the west. That was 6 years ago. I cannot believe how it has so radically changed. Oh it was great before the Pandemic, but then it all changed - and for the worse. The selfishness is unbelievable, and the officials who are supposed to listen to and protect the citizens, the city, the county everything- everyone- what infectious disease are they all spreading here??? If their greed is all they care about we're done. We've sold our home and are going north. Good luck Sarasota. I hope whatever your true goals are will make you happy but this isn't what we and many others came here for."

"Accommodations for jury duty could be improved. I really think they should supply free water and coffee and atleast a little snack for people who have to spend all day there. Someone from admin: could you please recruit someone with a coffee cart outside or taco stand atleast?
I have to say I was very aware of the people who have arthritis or other reasons who didn’t have lunch because it was too far to walk it’s not worth it to try to find a lunch place. There was some mention of some list somewhere where you could order food but I had no idea where that was. Could they pass the list around while everyone waits in their chairs maybe?
Also seriously, you guys turn off the air conditioner when there are 80 plus people crammed into a room? And the icing on the cake is being called out by the judge in front of everyone for fanning myself. I feel sorry for any middle aged woman having to sit there and deal with a hot room and being called out on that. 15.00 a day and no lunch or even water or coffee is not worth it. It really seemed like we were the ones in jail. And then to be singled out in front of everyone for being hot is seriously crossing the line. Btw I also have thyroid cancer so that can make a person hot and cold but for half of the day there was no air. I’m surprised you didn’t have to call paramedics that combined with all the talk about weapons and blood etc. we live in one of the richest countries in the world and cities -atleast temporarily with shutting down the pipeline, raising gas prices, rent that’s too high for the average person and no affordable housing- can we at least have some air and water?"

"Supports guardian abuse, chooses to separate families as oppose to bringing them together. Judges are a Part of the corrupt cottage industry. And will favor them abusive guardians over our VETERANS!! Who actually fought and served this country where as a guardian is some loser who paid $300 and got rich off the vulnerable. And weighs 800lbs. Collecting your families heirlooms, cars, living in a $500k house while your family member is living in the hood in squaller being physically, emotionally abused and giving meds improperly. And won’t allow family visits all because they’re using the wards $ for their personal usage. Hence why they have a lawyer to LIE for them. That the ward has to pay for! But yet can’t even get their own lawyer. There is no right or wrong in their book. It’s ALL politics. It’s all about $. I think these judges and lawyers, more importantly the guardians should be treated as they treat their wards. Lock them up take all their $ and steal them from their family. So then they’ll have a better perspective on how much of an evil person they are. May Hod have mercy! But the white collar criminal that lies, cheats, steals, and physically and mentally abused the wards roam free, why? So they can get paid! More $ in their pocket. Talk about unequal justice. Arrest poor people to make it seem like they’re “ protecting and serving” but the judges are equally as guilty when they favor abusive guardians. Leaving the situation and I quote “status quo” I guess that judge was never loved, doesn’t have a family. Or cares more about $ then doing the right thing. I had a Sarasota cop tell me one thing and in his report stated differently. Why?! Why would a cop suddenly change his statement and lie in the report? Evidently he was bought off. Or threatened to lose his job. And we’re supposed to trust the men in uniform? we’re supposed to trust and honor these judges that allow guardians to practically get away with murder and steal from the wards? So much for their dignity, integrity, for protecting and serving. And doing the right thing. Clearly they lack compassion, empathy, and a conscience. And support white collar criminals..someone get these people a bible and put them under oath! Let’s drain the swamp!! Ehem judge Williams for starters ."
