What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Reed Park is a well-loved neighborhood spot, particularly praised for its secure and well-equipped playground that's perfect for young children. Visitors appreciate the basketball and tennis courts, as well as the ample shaded seating. However, some reviews express concern over the presence of homeless individuals and associated sanitation issues, which can detract from the overall experience for some.
"Delightful park in the center of the neighborhood. Metered street parking available around the park. There’s a closed off playground with a double-gate entrance making it extra secure for running toddlers.
A basketball court sits right next to the playground area separated by a fence. There are 2 types of play areas, one more suited for 2-5 year olds and the other 5-12. A fun 4-seater see-saw sits in the shade next to a larger 2-person see-saw. I liked the hideout area where they built a fortress and covered it with plants.
There’s also a section for sand play, and ample chairs and benches near shaded areas of the playground."

"Not a huge park but it's cute and has several recreational facilities, including tennis courts, basketball courts, and a playground.
However, there are homeless people roaming around in the park, honestly I don't feel like it is very fun to spent much time in the park."

"The Police tell homeless people to go here to do drugs and sleep during the daytime instead of the tourist areas.
Local residents have no idea this is going on.
There’s Zero Walk-in-Shelters west of Skid Row and no other place for the homeless to rest.
There’s Santa Monica government doesn’t care, it’s like none of the city council members have children or walk the streets, let alone know what it’s like to be stranded outside 💀
The whole city gets worse every year"
